What’s Thrown Into the Mix of OSHA 10 & OSHA 30 Construction Training Courses?
What Exactly Is 30-Hour OSHA Construction Training? Do I really need it?
There’s a ton of responsibilities to nurture when it comes to work site safety. Whether you’re overseeing just a few employees or many, having every outlet work in your favor takes you a long way. Our OSHA 30-Hour Outreach Training for Construction helps you elevate your overall safety awareness so that you can easily save lives, prevent injuries, and have a safety culture that everyone loves.
Additionally, you will get an advanced, multi-layered overview of the policies, procedures, and best practices in OSHA’s 29 CFR 1926 standards for construction. This is much more intense than the OSHA 10 construction class. The course also covers necessary knowledge about all the hazards found on the shop site, work site, or plant site. For example, you’ll learn how to develop and demonstrate a safety and health program that pinpoints critical safety topics in construction, like stairways and ladders, confined spaces, hand and power tools, scaffolding, and explosives and blasting agents.
What Is OSHA 30 Certification?
OSHA does not certify workers, so there is no such thing as OSHA certification. However, OSHA does require that employers train their employees with methods that target protecting their health and safety. Since OSHA technically doesn’t give a “certification” for this, the next best thing OSHA offers is OSHA Outreach training. When you pass an OSHA 30 test, you'll receive an official Department of Labor card (Plastic DOL Card.)
Who is an Ideal Student for OSHA 30 Construction Training?
This material is specifically geared for blue collar workers such as foremen, supervisors, and safety directors, safety specialists, safety coordinators, or any other types of professionals that need a more advanced training rather than just the basic level overview. Many professionals need an OSHA 30 General Industry for anything that does not have to do with construction; such as manufacturing, factories, or some sort of plant site. OSHA has set minimum topic requirements for entry-level employees who must complete 10-hours of construction or general industry training. Some of the industry-specific topics are required, and others are up to the individual to complete or skip:
